The rules are simple. Go onto Minecraft and design a national park!
The competition is for kids in year 4-7.
The minister said that the government is looking for good ideas including bike trails, public toilets, wheelchair accessibility, and picnic areas. But that doesn't mean they aren't looking for other things. In fact, students may come up with new and original ideas! All they have to do, is send multiple screenshots.
Students won't be working on their own, but as a class, and may base their designs on other parks or create a brand new one out of fantasy. The winners will be decided based on how well their desings will "be translated into the real world." After all, the government is after a park that is easy to sustain, practical, nice, and creative.
This project isn't going to be a small one either, as the government has pledged more than $10 million in the last election.
Kudos to you, Australia! :)
