Microsoft Posts Patch for Critical Vulnerability, Download It Now

Microsoft has released a critical patch via Windows Update today that fixes a vulnerability that affects EVERY. SINGLE. MODERN. version of Windows, including Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and Windows RT.

The patch, named MS14-066, closes up a hole that nay allow an attacker to remotely trigger code on your machine using specially crafted snippets. Microsoft says they don't have any reports that someone may have actually used this, but it's still a good idea to get the patch.. This just like any other security patch, but the HUGE number of machines affected means it's good to make sure your system is up to date. You can grab the patch from Windows Update right now.

Facebook created a Custom Tor Link!

Facebook is continuously criticized over privacy concerns, but the social network just made an epic historic move toward security and anonymity. The social network just created [insert drum roll here] a DEDICATED TOR LINK that ensures people who visit the site from the anonymous web browser won't be mistaken for botnets. This is a big deal, because it's Facebook. FACEBOOK ON TOR!

Inbox by GMail!

Last week, Google released a brand new email service called Inbox. If you're new to Inbox or just (rightfully) confused about what it does and how it works, here's what I've found after a few days of usage.

Notice: Inbox is invite-only for the moment, but invites are being sent out rather quickly.
